Finding the weight of water in the pool:

To find the weight of the water, you just need to know the exact gallons/liters of water in your pool. Here’s how you can find that out:

For Rectangle or Square:

  • Measure the length, width and average depth of your pool in feet.
  • Multiply all three values together.
  • Multiply this number by 7.5 (the weight of one gallon of water).
US Gallon for rectangle or square shape pool: l * w * d * 7.5

For Circular:

  • Measure the radius (half the distance across) and the average depth of your pool in feet.
  • Square the radius and then multiply it by 3.14.
  • Multiply this number by the average depth and then by 7.5 to get the total weight of water in your pool.
US Gallon for round pool: 3.14 * r * r * d * 7.5

For Oval:

  • To calculate the volume of an oval pool, measure the length and width at their longest points.
  • Multiply both values together and then by the average depth in feet.
  • Multiply this number by 5.9 to get the total weight of water in your pool.
US Gallon for oval pool: l * w * d * 5.9

Once you have found out the gallons/liters of water in your pool, just follow the given table below:
